Working at home for those lucky enough to do so is a pretty sweet deal – both for employers and employees!
While staff can enjoy a bit of extra time in bed and don’t need to rush breakfast in order to get out of the door in a hurry in order to get to the office in time, company bosses can also reap the benefits.
As this infographic from conference call providers Powwownow shows, reducing office costs is a major advantage of allowing staff to work from home.
Less staff in the office = less office space needed = less office spend. Simple stuff really! At a time when so many companies are struggling with crippling overheads, it makes sense for more firms to embrace this way of operating.
Other benefits for remote working means companies can recruit talent globally instead of on a local scale because it doesn’t matter where staff are based, whether they are around the corner or thousands of miles away in a different country.
The fact that 59% of the people who took part in the survey think that remote working is the way forwards sums up what staff think.
Will remote working become more commonplace? Only time will tell…
