As I’ve mentioned several times before, I got into blogging for a number of reasons. For one – I could share my knowledge of personal finance and educate people who are willing to learn. Two – I would become more accountable with my own finances because I would be constantly reading and writing about the topic. And three – as a way to vent. Never did I ever get into blogging for the money – nor should you – because the moment you start blogging solely for income, it loses its fun.
Having said that – next year I’m going to make $30,000 blogging. That may be a little difficult to grasp as a reader, and quite honestly, it’s extremely difficult to say as a writer. How could a muttonhead like myself generate that kind of moolah from a side job?
The answer is easy – because I want to.

You can follow my journey at Online Money Bloggers – where I (and each participant) will lay out a game plan to achieve this far-fetched feat. I’ll also continue to write about The Business of Blogging to give you an open look how Funancials operates.
While we’re being open, I have something to confess.
I didn’t get into blogging for the reasons listed above. I got into blogging for the same reason Ellen DeGeneres got into acting.
I did it for the chicks.
