Presidents are at the Mercy of the Business Cycle

If you’ve been following along, you know that we have been looking at the economic track record of past Presidents. Hopefully, this will allow us to make an informed decision when we cast our vote for Mitt Romney or President Obama (or neither).

I’m searching high and low for possible trends. Unfortunately, the trend that I have noticed (thus far) is that there is no trend.

Presidents are Powerless

Presidents are merely at the mercy of the business cycle.

  • Can a President really control whether or not he enters during a period of expansion or contraction?

Not really.

  • Is President Obama to blame for our economic problems?

I don’t think so.

  • Will President Obama try his best to lift us out of this mess?

Absolutely.

  • Will Mitt Romney try his best to lift us out of this mess?

Absolutely.

Americans that are EXTREMELY against either candidate are morons ill-informed.
