With a career in finance and a growing desire to help people I thought it’d be worthwhile to create this blog circa March 2011. With the financial industry becoming more and more complex, the purpose of this blog was (and still is) to show that most of the concepts are rather simple.
I began by posting some of my favorite quotes and some clever cartoons whenever I had a minute. Anytime I get chance to poke fun at the government, I jump at the opportunity. As much fun as this was, I wasn’t doing what I sought out to do. You look at a cartoon and chuckle, but it doesn’t assist in the understanding. I decided to make a change.
The Best Move I Made
On August 7, 2011 I joined the Yakezie Challenge. If you forgot what the Challenge is all about, here’s a refresher. Joining the Yakezie Network was the best decision I could have made. The interactions I have had with like-minded bloggers have been invaluable. If you’re reading – thank you. If you’re not – I have a bone to pick with you.

Operation: Drop It Like It’s Hott
Alexa Ranking Beginning of Yakezie Challenge: 1,700,000
Alexa Ranking as of August 30, 2011: 485,389
Lots of improvement but still a long way to go! The goal, of course, is to drop below an Alexa Ranking of 200,000 in 6 months but I’m trying to accomplish this in two.
